The Great Parenting Experiment

ITV's “Driving Mum and Dad Mad” followed families as they worked to change their child’s behaviour. We invited parents of 3 to 9 year old children to work alongside the series and try out the positive parenting advice for themselves.

We are not currently looking for parents to take part in this research, however if you are interested in participating in future parenting research, please email GPE@manchester.ac.uk

What did parents say about the first Great Parenting Experiment?

The first Great Parenting Experiment began in February 2005, as the first series went to air. Families who took part reported improvements in their child’s behaviour which were still there 6 months later. Read more about the first GPE.
